    Late Season Wake Up Call

Just when we thought it was over, Hurricane Ida gives us a nice reminder that the late season, while statistically low in probability, can still deliver trouble.  It’s like our friend Dr. Snow always says, it not how many hurricanes there are in a given season, it’s how many come to your town.  It appears that Ida is going to hit the Nicaraguan/Honduran coast and then move up into the Gulf, Monday night or Tuesday, and then we will have to wait and see.  For South Florida, it seems unlikely that we will see much more than rain bands perhaps in the middle of next week.  Our friends on the rest of the Gulf Coast need to keep an eye out.
